Instruction

One on one instruction is what it's all about! We believe your learning is the most important aspect of every class, which is why all of our clinics are limited in capacity. This ensures each student gets a reasonable amount of time with our instructors to personalize their learning experience.

Keeping it simple is what we're all about! Many programs that exist are complex and unrealistic for use in the field. At Ironmind we believe a system should be easily repeatable in any situation, even the most stressful. So expect to walk away with a plan you can actually use in the moment of truth.

Training

Material

Students that attend a live event can expect to recieve a hard copy outline of their class for note taking and future trouble shooting. These outlines serve as a great resource and reminder of the mental and physical skills learned in the clinic.

Are you eager to have a class in your area? Currently we are booking event dates throughout the lower 48. Dates are limited but we are more than happy to make the trek as long as spots are filled well ahead of time. Did You Know?

Joel has been a law enforcement professional since 2001 and a SWAT Sniper Team Leader and shooting instructor since 2003. The research he has conducted on target panic and shot control started at the early age of 7 years old when he picked up his first bow and continues to this day. Due to his career in law enforcement and pursuits as a hunter he has been testing and modifying this program for over 10 years. This is why his knowledge of shooting behavior has taken him all over the globe to instruct on all types of high stress shooting scenarios.

In addition to Joel’s considerable background in shot instruction he has also been a passionate student of Elk Biology and Hunting Strategy for well over 15 years. This passion has taken him to many calling competitions and since 2006 he has been ranked as one of the top four callers in the world, having taken home first place trophies in 2008 and 2010 at the Rocky Mountain Elk Calling Championships. With credentials like these he has had the opportunity to hunt throughout the West and pass along his knowledge of elk behavior to scores of elk hunters.

Attire

Dress for the field. If you are a competitive shooter or hunter we ask all students to wear the gear they expect to have on during their future pursuit. This will help us locate any future issues you might have with your gear.
